Introducing a new podcast: An Imperfect Map
I'm starting a podcast about human ingenuity and learning in the time of COVID. I'll be talking to people who have done something to shift, change, or adapt how they are learning or teaching or creating learning experiences. I'm doing this because I want to listen to as many people as possible, and in my first conversations, I'm learning some truly wonderful things. I'll release a proper audio promo soon.
The name of the podcast is "An Imperfect Map." I took the name from a poem by Joy Harjo (current U.S. Poet Laureate) titled "A Map to the Next World." It was not written about this time, but as great art can, it speaks to our time. Here's the first line, which captures my intent pretty well:
"In the last days of the fourth world I wished to make a map for
those who would climb through a hole in the sky."
